What's Coming to Beyond the Silence

For too long, some of the most important stories in this country have gone quiet. Not because they were resolved, but because the cameras moved on, the headlines changed, and the families left behind were expected to move on with them. Beyond the Silence exists to change that.

We are counting down to our very first episode, and we wanted to take a moment to tell you what this show is, who we are, and what you can expect when the conversation begins.

More than one story

Beyond the Silence: The Truth Exposed is not built around a single case. It is a movement. It is a place for the families the world forgets, the advocates who refuse to let go, and the hard questions that too often get dismissed before they are ever asked.

Our mission is simple. We want to expose what families of the missing actually go through, challenge the misconceptions that surround these cases, and push for the accountability that is so often missing. We will talk about missing persons, trafficking, unidentified remains, and the system that is supposed to protect all of us and too often does not. Along the way, we will share what we have learned, so that the next family in crisis is not as alone as so many have been before them.

This is not a courtroom, and it is not true crime for entertainment. It is advocacy, awareness, and honest conversation. We will do our best to separate verified facts from opinion, acknowledge uncertainty where it exists, and keep an open mind. Because the search for truth begins with one simple act: being willing to ask.

Who you'll be hearing from

Your hosts are Dawn Conley and Kim Kite.

Dawn brings the lived experience of a mother who spent years fighting for answers, learning firsthand how families are treated, what they are told, and the toll it takes. Kim is a cold case analyst and the founder of the Broken Link Foundation, with a background in law enforcement and a deep understanding of how these cases really get worked, and where the system breaks down. Together we have sat with grieving families, stood toe to toe with the people who were supposed to help them, and seen both the failures and the moments of hope up close.

We are coming to this microphone as advocates first. That is the heart of everything you will hear.

What to expect

Our early episodes will introduce you to who we are and why this matters to us, take you inside the reality of navigating the system as a family and from the law enforcement side, and begin welcoming guests whose stories deserve to be heard. We will spotlight cases that need more attention, confront the misconceptions that hurt families, and bring on the parents, advocates, and experts living this every day.

We also want you in the conversation. Some episodes will feature your questions, so as we get closer to launch, keep an eye on our pages for the chance to send them in. New episodes will arrive every other week, with more to share in between.
